Hello, as a newbie to this forum and a newby to being a starview user I could do with some help please.

I have a Starview receiver connected to cable. The receiver is working fine connected to the TV via the scart (sound and picture ok), but the secong scart connected to the video, picture is fine but no sound is received.

The video works fine if connected to other devices - so video not at fault.

Any help appreciated

Hi
A thing to look for is in the Menu system there are options for outputs cvbs,rgb etc have you tried changing these. Does the second scart that goes to the video work and give audio if you plug it into the TV (if no audio I would suspect this lead)? and does the first scart work and give audio if you plug it into the Video recorder? can you borrow or try another scart lead.

Hi - sorry for the delay in replying.

Heres the update of what I have done.

Bottom scart of starview (TV) connected to TV; sound and video ok and TV switches into AV mode automatically when receiver switched on.

Top scart of starview (VCR) connected to TV; sound and video ok but does not switch into AV mode automatically.

Then if I rearrange the leads;

Bottom scart of starview into TV, top scart into VCR - TV works fine, video no sound.

rearrange again;

Bottom scart of starview into VCR, top into TV - video works fine, tv does not auto switch into AV mode.
This is a usable method, but annoying because have to use TV remote to select AV mode.

Anyway the solution I have decided on is:
Bottom scart to TV, and 3 x phono lead from back of starview to AV3 phono inputs on back of video.

Cheers
