Sorry if this has been covered, i tried searching but with no joy.

I have a PANASONIC VIERA TX-32LMD70 and i wish to connect my SONY VAIO N21E/W.

The Vaio has a VGA slot male? female? been told in two shop that's it's not possible to connect the laptop to the TV.Despite them both having VGA inputs????

Would i be correct assuming the laptop will be male VGA and the tv female VGA??

Or could i connect via VGA to HDMI?

Any input much appreciated, pulling my hair out here :)
