Ireland just needs a break, everyone does once in a while. He will come back eventually.

But, I feel as though I have to complain right now. Here is why:

I have been looking for a free hosting company to host my website. Its e-commerce so I need MySQL access (thats the one I had the hardest time finding, the company I purchased the domain from does have hosting but it doesn't support MySQL).

Well I found a site that gave a nice list of stuff but, in order to get access they have a "Credit" system. It gives you credits based on how long and detailed your posts are.

But, I found out they don't like me. I posted a request, (you need 30 credits) because I had gathered over sixty, to get hosted and they denied me saying I quoted other sources too much.

I decided to bag this host because 1 credit = 1 day of hosting and so I would have to constantly post "original content" on the site to get credits.

I tried posting a tutuorial that took about an hour to make on how to install, update and use Ad-Aware, Spybot S&D and Windows Defender. I did a search for the words "Ad-Aware", "Aware", and "Spybot". I found some discussions about them but, no tutorials so I posted my tutorial.

They PM'd me saying "We already have like 5 of those types of tutorials, this is a warning. If you post duplicate content again (meaning I had not searched for a similar post) then you will be temp. banned."

So I gave up on them.

Hopefully the host I found now is not a jerk and will let me run my site in peace.

Well, I finally went searching and found a decent hosting service of which I am probably going to get with in a few days.

    Peace,

    Pop Smith

NOW YE CAN CHANGE YE NAME AND MORE..

A site that generates fake names
    August 3, 2006 7:00 AM PDT

As we were thinking about phone calls from imaginary friends today, we coincidentally came across another service that deals in fakery.

The Fake Name Generator says it randomly comes up with false personal information such as names, addresses, phone numbers, mothers' maiden names, birth dates and credit card data, complete with phony expiration dates. The ersatz identities apparently include real but disguised e-mail addresses, "provided free of charge by third parties."

Why, you might ask, would someone pay a site to come up with fake personal information? The Fake Name Generator's FAQ says there are "tons of uses for this service," ranging from privacy to large-scale collection of test data. It even offers special rates for orders in bulk.

as someone who builds systems four days a week im fed up of people coming to me and asking 'what's the cheapest you can do that i can use to pirate dvds on?'... man, i feel like giving them all a blank dvd and a laser pen and saying 'try this' - just to keep em quiet!

oh, the real bitch is that i got real excited about finding blu-ray multiformat internal recorders out for retail - then i saw how much they cost. And the blank media. That'll put a dent in the bank...
