won't show up in my computer. I took a 40 gig drive out of an old mp3 player and installed it in a case. When I plugged it in, the found new hardware bubble popped up and did it's thing. It even told me my new hardware is installed and ready to use. The onlt problem is, I cant find it in my computer. Any ideas?

You have to go into Computer Management/Disc Management, initialize and format the drive. Until you do that, you won't see it in My Computer.

Yes I rebooted. I did initialize it but can't figure out how to format it. The computer manager doesn't seem to want to give me that option. Ok, I got it. Thanks for your help.
