when I download chinese subtitles for avi movies, they're always displayed as weird characters. I did some search and the closest thing I came across is this website http://www.friends6.com/faq.htm, but the problem is I do not have GB2312, which I find it weird b/c my PC is running under Chinese XP, and I could view and type chinese. How can I install this specific font on my PC? Or that's problem with something else? Thanks.
You don't say which media player you are trying to use. The way to set the default font changes with each one. Usually there is a default font option under the subtitles subsection of the video menu.
