For the video cards i was just wondering if Running 2 same cards in SLI mode was really worth it, or should i just get one really good card and upgrade that every now and then?

for the processor, i'm looking at the intell C2D and the C2Q(leaning towards the quad obviously). with each processor they list the Ghz speed. I was wondering how to calculate that with multiple core processors. I see some high end computers with a C2Q that have 1.8ghz, but some C2D that run on 2.2? I know the quad is better, but can someone explane why in terms of ghz?

    thanks

Don't bother with SLI, it's very rarely worth it. Go with a fast single card like an HD3870. I usually recommend Core 2 Duos to people who don't video edit, simply because anybody else will rarely see a performance benefit.
