I just got a Core2Quad and before I put it in the case, I remember it saying "SLACR" on it, which means that it's a G0 stepping. Now, if I check CPUz, the stepping is B and the revision is G0. Intel Processor ID reports the CPU stepping as B and the CPU revision as B6. What type of core2 quad do I have? I thought there were only B3s and G0s. Which one is mine? I ordered this one:

If it says SLACR on the box then you got the newer revision so don't worry about it.

It says that on the processor, not the box. It was OEM. I got just the processor.

I have the same issue as well. However, I know for a fact mine is a G0 as it said SLACR on the box, and I bought it from a site that sells G0 processors only.

It's probably a program issue. the Quad is clocked to 3.6GHz with a really bad fan letting it idle at 50C. Makes me think its a G0.
