Hi everyone, I have a digi-box with an rs232 connection on the back of it. I am trying to hook it up to my laptop to update the information in the box. However, I only have a lead with an rs232 connection on one end and a 25-pin printer connection on the other. Although I can link my didgi-box to my laptop with this lead, can I use this lead to transfer information to/from the digi-box/laptop? Thanks dan
Which digibox is it? I know the sky digiboxes are supposed to have redundant RS232 connectors on them, but apparently they're not for that use. You could try it but personally, I think success is doubtful.
