Hard drive full after system recovery

I recently was forced to do a non-destructive System Recovery on my HP Media Center PC. I hadn't made any recovery disks because I'm dumb like that. All the files in My Documents are now gone(over 200gb of videos and music). I expected this to happen.

The problem here is my PC is telling me my hard drive is still almost full. Are my precious files still there? If so, how do i find them? If they are gone for good, how can I free up the space.

At this time my 300gb drive has only 10% free space. This is almost exactly how full it was before the recovery process.

    PLEASE HELP DUDES!

open up your hard drive and go to the Documents and Settings folder, there might be an old user account in there with all your stuff.
