24 HOURS LATER AFTER THE ARRIVAL OF MY CECT P168 AND...GRRRR...i'm SO frustrated here with many things with this Tri-Band (the seller advertised this as a Quad). I'll target my immediate problems:

First, T-Mobile told me that it is senseless for me to add Data service since they don't recognize or support this unlocked phone nor any iPhone. Period. So, I cannot browse, no GPS, no e-mails...this stinks. They say that I'm very fortunate that I can even make or send calls.

Second, when I get a notification on my screen that I have new voice messages, HOW do I access them easily other than calling my own phone # and going to my T-Mobile inbox. Then, where's the keypad to delete a message or save a message?

I've got more easily answered questions about functionality. After familiarity and reading the manual I can trudge thru this (if I don't get rid of it first)..but first my knowledge of the compatibility with my T-Mobile is of GREAT CONCERN. ANY HELP would be highly appreciated!

I dont know of any way other than calling your number. But when your in your voice mail hit the little green icon that appears on the bottom of your screen and it will pull up your numers to delete.

Yup, figured this one out by accident a couple of days ago....the little green button-thing at the bottom center of the screen (a phone, I presume??) enables the keypad. I'm able to operate the v-mail functions (eg. repeat, delete, save v-mail messages).

Now to the laborious task of getting internet connection...I subscribed to T-Mobile's Blackberry Pearl's Internet svc. for $4.99/mo as suggested in a diff. thread here. BUT....still no internet...not even T-Zones!

I'll try again to reconfigure the settings. If anyone has THE LATEST UPDATE/VERSION to configure the T-Mobile settings for the P168 (+???)and just what I should subscribe to I'd greatly appreciate it!!

depends where you bought your phone you might have gotten the non-us one. i just got one and i made sure it had the 850mhz and 1900 gps and not the 900mhz. tmobile uses the 850mhz. so you might only be getting the 1900 and thats why they said that you are likly to make calls
