VOB file playback from hard disk

My DVD Plays fine, when I copy the DVD files to hard disk and play the files I get the following:

PowerDVD player - Audio OK, Image has corrupt digital greenish blocks on.

DVDX player - Image OK, audio is slurred!

Any help appreciated!
