starview box

    has anyone any idea how i can stop my movie channels etc from all breaking up and some of my other channels breaking up please. I am in the manchester area and my box is starview

    Press Menu > System Information and tell us what the API is please

    Also

    You will need to know if you have a clone or genuine

    Count the vents on top

    18x7 = Clone
    25x7 = Genuine
    13x7 = 1st Generation

    You have the latest firmware on your b0x so thats ok

    Are you running this from a splitter ?

    Go through the channels you are having problems with and take note of the frequency and come back and let me know what ones they are

    (Press the SIG button and it should be the Down freq)

    i am not on a splitter cable is straight into box i have taken off the attenuator frequencies with problems are movie channels 578750 594750

    Delete the channels that are not working properly and then do an autoscan, they will then reappear at the end of your channel list.

    anyone have a clue how to get the sound back on the starview box

    Check MUTE is not on either your TV or SV

    Also check your scart leads are connected in properly

    hi it is me again i tried deleting the channels and rescaning but they are still all broken up and clicking do you think i might have the wrong keys input if so do you have the keys for the manchester area i am on virgin which was once telewest/ntl/cable&wireless

    You have the right fimware on it and it should auto update the codes for you

    Have you got the Starvi*w 1 or 2 THE B0X ?

    Then the firmware is ok

    It might be a problem in your area unless you want to try a factory setting and get a fresh scan , i tmight help
