I want sound !!

    I have a fujitsu siemens pc, I wiped the hard drive, installed xp prof,
    but now I have a mute pc.
    on the motherboard It reads...fc ga-8sgxp,
    I think I need to download the driver but I cannot find it anywhere.
    Please can anyone help?

    hello again, I am at a loss,
    I have downloaded the patch...whatever that is??
    I have tried to add it in 'add programs' but where do I add it?

    moved to correct forum as is a hardware issue.
    make folder on your hd called soundcard & copy that file to that folder. is that file a zip file or an exe file?

    You you checked if the current port you have the card in is active in the bios?

    Sorry for posting in the wrong forum.

    I have copied the files like you said, they are zip files.

    I am afraid I do not know how to get to my 'bios'

    It still isn't working guys

    I will have to buy a new pc... I am about to throw this out of the window...........

    don't you have a rescue or recovery disk? what windows was on it before? you don't need to buy a new pc because of no sound as can take it to local computer store so they can fix it if a friend can't.
