Does anyone have the latest version? I downloaded the latest version and it stopped working. The movies and sound a choppy and it stops after like 30 seconds -- I have the registered version so it should burn the whole thing. Not response from tech support. Anyone knows what I can do to fix this or somewhere I can go to download an earlier version? Thanks!

does this mean that you burned the movie to a DVD and you get choppy sound and video and it freezes up and doesn't work? if so then it's a media problem and not a program problem! Skipping, Freezing, pixelations (choppy), are all problems with media not being compatible with your player! There are plenty of reasons why certain dvds won't play properly in players:

1. burning speeds: burn at 4x so there will be less writing errors (rule of thumb is to burn at half the rated speed of the disk--8X disk burn at 4x).
2. read manual for your stand alone player and use the disks that will play in your player. If your player is less than 2 yrs old then it should play the + or - R disks! I said SHOULD that's why you read the manual.
3. try booktyping your drive to DVd-ROM so it will make your +R disks more compatible to players. Read this:
http://k-probe.com/bitsetting-booktype-faq.php
4. make sure that there are no finger prints or scratches on your disk that make it hard for the player to read the disk!
5. use good quality media (rule of thumb....buy the ones that are Made in Japan.) Verbatim, that can be found in stores, is a top notch disk and is the only exception to this rule....some Verbatims are made in Taiwan and they are top notch! The best media that I have found is Taiyo Yuden, always made in Japan, and you can get them online in stores like supermeidastore.com, meritline.com, rima.com and others.
6. and don't burn too close to the outer edge of the disk ..... which will make the disk unreadable! but using good media you will be able to burn close to the edge better than lesser quality media. Just in case I only burn no closer than 4400MB, so if you can set your programs to that, all the better!

follow these little tips of the trade and you'll have better success! good luck.

Thanks for the response. I should clarify that I am ripping to my harddrive and playing using WMP11 and also streaming to my PS3 for viewing on my TV.

ImToo is a really poor quality application as far as DVD Rippers go. I don't know what codecs it uses but it gives you horrendous quality.
Think about using:

TMPGEnc
Super
Xilisoft DVD Ripper
#1 DVD Ripper

Those are much better quality. I've tried ImTOO before, it gave me horrible results.

He's talking about DVD Rippers/Converters, ZoSoIV.

lovevideo:

It depends heavily on the codecs your using to rip DVDs to whatever particular format you want to. Make sure you've got a high-quality, reliable codec pack installed like K-Lite, that covers all the major video formats like MPEG, AVI, WMV, H.264, XVid, etc...

Here:http://www.free-codecs.com/download/K_Lite_Codec_Pack.htm
Make sure to get rid of any other individual codecs before installing and give your registry a clean to ensure there are no conflicts.
