Alright i got my self a semi decent computer yet i forgot to get the list of the driver's. and i have NO idea how i can go about finding them this is all I do know about the machine, if anyone could help me find the driver's or what I should be searching for, that would be great, please help. Computer Specs known: Amd 3500 + proccesor, 1.5g ddr 3200 ram, asus A8n, sli-se motherboard, nx8600gt video card with D.O.T technologie, this is all i have besides hdd size. please keep me posted.
What drivers? For most current Mobo drivers, just search the ASUS website for the model. For the peripherals, go straight to the manufacturer websites.
sadly i have become computer illterate as new technology and i ahve not kept up with it, so I do not know anything except this is a link to the site, for the drivers i need, im unaware if they will help me get on the internet or not not sure if i need a driver for the intergrated ethernet card or not, and for my gfx card when i search it comes up with other finds anyone able to help, sorry about the horrible english, grammer and spelling very very tired. please help

The BIOS lives in a volatile chip on the MoBo, not your HDD so you are safe there. go here: http://support.asus.com/download/download.aspx?SLanguage=en-us&model=A8N-SLI SE and start by downloading the chipset driver. Then check your device manager for the other integrated devices needing drivers. Download and install as necessary. Live Chaos i want to thank you for getting that info, however im at a new loss maybe you can help with. I can not seem to isntall the service pack 2, im in safe mode, with networking, and it still says File is corrupt, and i have downloaded the file several times, any idea's?
go to: http://www.softwarepatch.com/windows/xpsp2.html to download sp2. you will be able to install it in mormal mode just fine.
