I was wondering if someone could help me, I just bought a Toshiba HD-A2KU and I am having a problem with it already. I plug everything in to the T.V. and DVD player, Turn the unit on and thats as far as I get. All the player says is Welcome ad nothing shows on the T.V. Second, how are you connecting the player ie...HDMI...component?

I cant get the dvd player to even open. all i get is a welcome saying on the dvd player, my tv screen is black and the only thing i can do is turn the player of or back on to where it says welcome! i am hooking it up with the supplied rca cables

well second off, i would definitly take off your email address, unless u love spam. third off u will need hdmi or component cables to watch hd video. i would suggest taking it to the local electronics store and see if it plays using these connections. before buying new cables, there a little pricey.

If it doesn't even open I would assume the player is defective.
