8800GT stock with ssc bios

    Is it possible to flash the evga ssc bios to a stock evga 8800gt, I have heard there is no physical diffrence between the cards

    the cards are exactly the same except the ssc has been factory overclocked. i dont think there should be a problem flashing the stock bios. but what do you need to flash it for

    i read somewhere that if you load the ssc bios onto a stock card it performs(literally becomes)like an ssc

    that would not be a smart thing to do. it would probably load the clock settings for the ssc version and it could cause instability. download ati tool and overclock the card yourself.

    Only flash the bios with overclocked settings when you use driver level overclocking to make sure that those settings work fine for you. Also BIOS flashing voids your warranty.
