Yeah, to be honest I’m very happy with the channels I have sc0user.. As you can see, I have all the main channels with perfect reception. The only reason I posted this was so people in the Chor**s area could use this as a reference when setting up the Starbox 2 as the Chor**s Automatic scan does not work (It scans the wrong Frequencies).

Can you tell me sc0user if it’s possible to Edit the Irish .bin file (_Ireland_H20070705_450eE_api.bin) & configure it to scan the correct frequencies & therefore work with the Automatic scan.

Just one more thing sc0user, I rang Chor**s about the Digital & I was told that If I got their “Digital Max” package, I would be able to receive over 130 Channels in my house without upgrading the line.. Do you know if they using new encryption technology for the additional channels?

    Thanks again M8

That's including your basic analogue channels aswell as the digital channels. Both N*L and C****s have a tendency to advertise that you get over 130 channels but only when you subscribe to all their packages i.e movies, sports, kids and adult channels.

As CO19 said it is probably misleading in nature, although some Ch**us areas differ, hence your shortage of channels. You are in an old CMI/Cablenet area and until it is fully upgraded and brought into line with the rest of their network then you will only get whats provided by their feed for now.

Regards updating the file to scan at different intervals you would need to stream your incoming line for the required info, I know someone who has already done this for your area and has produced a file for another type of box, specific to your area.

BTW thanks for the post it will help a lot of people in your area. We have had these here for a while and have recently added the two most recent TPs to the list also, but you have given a detailed programme listing with frequencies and I thank you for that.

When i first tried manual scan weeks ago, i got the Set**ta channels under 444.000 but got a 'no signal' message on the channel. So i deleted and tried again. This time i'm getting '0 program found' message.
Tried those others as well, no luck

Are you scanning from the direct feed. I would however recommend a factory reset and rescan as there was a few changes in your area over the last week or so.

hi sc0user, the help is appreciated, but no luck with the factory reset. I went back to secret menu, turned on emu key and completed auto scan. I got about 35 channels. I manually scanned the frequencies listed by chrismc and got up to 70 channels, but still no joy with the last 3 frequencies
not sure you mean by 'direct line'. i just got coaxial cable from cable point on wall to SV box and A/V cable from SV box to TV. I've no other cable receiver in the loop

Hello munster79, did you have any joy with the Setanta channels? The Frequencies for a lot of the channels seem to have been changed over the last few weeks, i rescanned with the default Cho**us frequencies & then i also scanned the frequencies listed above &that recovered all the lost channels. I will make a list of the new Frequencies tonight and post them.

no joy chrismc, after factory reset and scanning both on the autoscan and manually with all the freqs above, I still had just Setanta Ireland and 1, no setanta 2, news, etc..
I wasn't inclined to try it again, after resorting and editing all the channels for the second or third time
Any posts or advice I'd much appreciate it, thanks

I'm in the Lilly White County, and use Ch----- on true cable. after last nights 'Big Out' I failed to find any channels, either by a automatic scan, or a manual one using these frequencys. Could someone give me 'Total novice guide' as to what to do?

    Thanks in advance

That sort of information is not for public forums as the cc do monitor the forums and i would hope anyone in the know would not openly put it up here either

Unless you know what to do with bin files and hex editors and are a genius at maths (binary) and programmer you will not have a hope of doing anything with them files

Most of them are hard coded and write protected so that they cannot be interfered with unless you know the people who will give you the specific information which you will not find anywhere on any forums
