I wasn't sure if this was the right area to post this, but I'll give it a shot. Here's my problem: I use dvd-ram to copy tv programs and then edit them using TMPGE. I copied the Reno 911 opener but when I loaded it into the computer it is read as a cd disk. So I can't open it in TMPGE.
I check the disc with DVD Identifier and it shows up a a dvd-ram disc.
It plays fine in the recorder. Can anyone help me out here?
thanks, foghat

Do you have an option to finalize the disc?

UPDATE: Since posting this I've found (using Nero Ifo Tool) that the disk is in udf format. Does this help anything?

Are you trying to load the discs in your editing program from your DVD-ROM or is already ripped to your hard drive?
Every time I load a DVD in my reader(an old Nec), if I want to use ImgBurn in "VERIFY " mode, or to copy the disc in "READ" mode, it will not do it, it says "Disc not supported(Audio)". However, if I switch to "Build Mode" will read it just fine.

Rip the disc to your hard drive first, use ImgBurn or DVD Decrypter for example. Then use your editing software.
