    Hello fellow afterdawners.

After I updated all my old fans to noctua and got a new case the noise of graphic card fan has been bothering me for a while.

    Other suggestions can be made.

Only criteria for the cooler is that its quiet enough (less than 20dB)

Very few PC parts can pull only a 20dB noise level (most hard drives are at least 23, and the 800rpm slow noctua fan is 20dB, the 1200rpm version is 25), so you need something powerful. I suggest using a Thermalright HR-03. You can run one without a fan (so no fan noise at all from the graphics card). Check to see if it's compatible on thermalright's website, or find out which version you need. Older GPUs require the HR-03 or HR-03 rev. A. The 8800GTX needs the HR-03 Plus, and the HD3850/HD3870/8800GT require the HR-03 GT.
