New codec?

    Hi iv got a movie called [hovzr]***********.xvid.[hovsr]-full but i can't play it, what codec is it. I have been checking other threds and GSpot but i have not found an awnser. Please help me.

    I can't find exactly wich codec to use a have all of them in the thred and i have read it before. So please stop beeing such a pain in the but and please awnser my question about how im going to play this file.

    Lippy one are we? If you had followed the guide you'd be able to watch that movie by now and it wouldnt be 'such a pain int he but' (you should have noticed the friendly :p on my post before you decided to get all lippy)

    There's your codec.

    Stop bothering.
    I've made the mistake to download [hovzr]....mpg, too, and made the following experience:
    1. If you just rename the file from *.mpg to *.wmv, it works perfectly
    2. Don't think about the film anymore, what turns out is just a silly preview on a coming-soon-movie (which is 2:23 min long - with a bitrate of 8000bps!!)

    So, good luck with succeeding to find the right movie file :)
