Good evening/morning/afernoon, I'm trying to find out a way of streaming a video URL from Sopcast using Tversity, so i can watch the streams on my TV.
I have came across this....
That simple follow the steps:

1 - Install Sopcast

2 - Install VideoLAN - VLC media player http://www.videolan.org

3 - Open SopCast and select the chanel. Wait sopcast show the channel

4 - Open VLC with this command line:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -vvv http://127.0.0.1:8902/tv.asf --sout "#std{access=mmsh,mux=asfh,dst=:1234}"

5 - Go to TVersity and add that Video URL mms://127.0.0.1:1234

I've done this and the URL is recognised on the PS3 but i get an error message saying "The content could not be played, This content may have been deleted from the media server".
Has anyone on here managed to stream Sopcast before?
Any hints on where i may have gone wrong? I've definately done exactly what it says above (about 10 times).
Thanks for reading guys and gals.

In the end i sacked off Tversity and used a streaming application called Orb.
Open sopcast as usual and stream desired channel, then open up Orb and under the *open application* tab, open up *internet TV*.
This will give you the option to create a custom channel.
On the Sopcast stream, right click and then properties and highlight the address of the link, usually something like so http://numbers/number

Add this to the custom channel and name it sopcast etc.
Now on the PS3, you can find the name of the channel under your internet tv folder on Orb.
It can get a bit choppy at times due to sopcast not being the best picture in the world! and i got some corrupted data messages a few times, but overall i'm well impressed. Thanks to BoroInLeeds.
