I have a Gateway 7001211 Multimedia keyboard. The keyboard is working but those multimedia keys are not working. I don't remember iinstalling the driver for this keyboard, maybe that might be the problem. I can't find a driver download anywhere though. I went to Gateway.com and searched and found it, but it was not compatible with my OS. My OS is Windows XP Home by the way. Can anyone help me? Thanks
that is because the keyboard was not designed for xp but the earlier versions of windows upto win2k. try running compatibility wizard of xp when installing the keyboard driver. driver link http://support.gateway.com/support/drivers/search.asp?st=pn¶m=7001211
It works now, but not perfectly with Windows Media Player. Thanks. Should I try a different software like Winamp for it to work better, or would it just come as the same result?
