Hi all, my friends having a realy strange problem with there phone right now. not sure of the exact model but its a nokia and fairly advanced, pretty slim with camera but its only 2nd generation i believe. My friends listed in the yellow pages phone directory because there a counselor. yesterday they got a prank call from some twat about the size of there penis and was repeatedly called by the same number after that but just ignored the calls. after the call she answered AND all the calls listed as missed her credit balance on the phone was lowered. the phone is set up so that after every call text or just anything that would lower the balance is complete it displays the new balance. which is exactly what it did after each missed call. it was only a few pence at a time so not a big deal but were worried about what it could turn into. the number was 07513 969 438 so its either a call from "patterson new jersey" or a british o2 number. if it were international that would explain the charges but there was no +(coutry code) or anything. my friend is also on o2 but when she called them she was just told it wasnt possible for this to happen. if anyones had a similar experience and could help or even give us some info on how this would be possible so we can get a response from o2 (fat chance) then that be a big help. thanks, Marco
Sounds like they let somebody make a call from that phone, and been the victim of a call redirect scam. Throw the sim in the bin and get a new one.
