Alright so I have been burning movies for years and encoding them, then all of the sudden, so many movies don't encode right on TMPGEnc. I go to source and it does not recognize picture at all. Can anyone tell me what I have to do? What are the program lists of what you people use to encode and convert to burn to dvd now? all I used to use was simple virtual dub for audio and TMPGEnc for video, NOW nothing is working. I looked up on it, downloaded all the most recent codecs and nothing! I am stumped, please I would appreciate it if someone could help me out here.

I don't know about TMPGEnc, haven't used it for years but from what I remember, only one other Encoder matched it in speed (slow). Haven't used this but seems highly recommended, gives great quality and is free: http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html Another good and very easy to use one is ConvertXtoDVD but not free and the trial leaves a watermark in your video.

I have the same problem where TMPGEnc says there is no usable DVD drive installed. I went to their website at:

http://tmpgenc.pegasys-inc.com/en/product/tda3_operation.html

and there is a list of supported DVD drives under Requirements. My drive, Toshiba SD-R5372, is not there, so at least I know why now. Maybe your drive is not listed either.
