SONY 46 100HZ LCDs

    Can someone please tell me if the 100hz is switchable, i remember a Philips 46 back projection i had where this was possible and to be quite honest 100hz introduced some strange effects so i did not use it. Has it improved on these LCDs and is it worth the extra cost?
