I have a DVD whose audio is very low. Is there a way to rip it to my hard drive, increase the audio volume and then burn it back to a DVD?

How would I convert the DTS to get AC3. I trying to reburn a DVD becuase I don't get any sound when I burn it.
You should get M2v and AC3, not VOB and DTS. I thought all DVD's had ac3, but you can try converting the DTS to AC3 or WAV with 'DaudioK'. Note it claims to work on DTS, but I have never tried it with anything except ac3. http://www.videohelp.com/tools/DAudioK
'DaudioK' work fine, I was able to convert DTS to AC3 with no problem. Is there a second choice for MUXMAN. It seems to work but freezes up the computer if I touch everything while it's running.

Thanks it worked perfect first time but I'm not getting the whole movie. VOBEDIT is scanning the whole movie but only makes a 4.3GB combined file when it's finished. I tried 3 or 4 times with the same results. This is a 2.5 hour movie and I only get 1.5 hours of the movie. I not worried about the final size, that I can either burn it full size or reduce it with DVD Shrink 3.2. By the way it's starting out at 4.35gb. Can you suggest what is going wrong or a different program for demuxing.

Press F5, a popup lists the tracks and the video starts playing. File > Stop, to stop playback. Audio > Output method > Demux all tracks (or select one) File > Save Project and demux video. I don't know why VOBEdit is not getting all the video.It's very reliable.
DGMPGDec worked great. I was able to burn my DVD with sound. It's no big thing but how do I insert chapters. At what stage did I miss them. Was it with DGMPGDec or were they missing from the start. Thanks.
After upgrading my ConvertXtoDvd, I was playing around and decided to try the movie I was just converting. I imported the VOB files and made up a menu for the Movie. I knew the DTS sound would not work so I imported the AC3 file I had just made up with DAudioK. As part of the process ConvertXtoDvd took care of the chapters for me. I wish these programs tell you when you might have a problem. Now I know, surround sound (DTS)can be a problem. Thanks for your help.
