Now before I state my case, I will let you know that I know what I'm doing and I have burned NGC games before.

In the past I have burned around 20 games on Ritek G04 Mini DVD media and they always worked great. Now I ordered around 20 discs from Meritline and after I burned them, it comes up as "NO DISC" error on NGC. So I first thought it was a bad burn so I burned it with a different burner (recording software) at 1x speed. After the burning finishes, I poped the disc in my NGC and I get the same error. Now I know something is wrong so I tried all my previous burned games on Ritek G04 Mini DVD-R and they all still boot, so why not the new ones? It can't be my POT... can it? My POT is at 207 and it has always worked at that level for me before.

So do you guys think the Riteks are different now? They look a little different on the bottom (tiny circular line around inner most edge of the disc) but that's all.

I found that after I did a firmware upgrade to my burner, the media doesn't work any more. But I bought a "Sony DVD RW AW-Q170A" drive and now my 1x burns play flawlessly. This drive is OEM'ed to Sony by NEC. I highly suggest you guys go and buy this drive and it is only $16 USD on eBay!!
