Also remember to use top quality media like Taiyo Yuden or Verbatim burning between 4x and 8x max on a clean machine(doing a disc cleanup and defragging often at least ones a week) with the most up to date firmware for your drive/burner.you can check here

@Zoso,
No problem. I know here lately FixVts and/or VobBlanker are almost a neccessary part of most burns. Just thought i'd toss that in there.

@BlivetNC
No joke! So very true.

I just hope the Noobs can find this thread before posting something already answered here.

The lengths some go to try and regain addict status (sighs)...If there were any more colors in that guide I may have had an epileptic seizure... LOL!!!
Seriously though, if people actually read it, this would cut down on lots of traffic, especially on the Shrink page.
Less traffic = less people clicking on links, less links = less money for AD, less money = AD shuts down.
Are you happy ZOSO? you've just mathematically shut down the AD website!!!

Deadrum33, i don't know where the hell your post came from and why but this question comes up many times a week(how to backup my dvds) and we thought it would be easier to have one thread with all the info in it so we could direct them here.Its not meant to take the place of the brand new release threads that come up like SawIV etc.anyway it was ok(ed) by a mod to make this a sticky. so lay off the personal attacks, it would be like me saying the lame band in your sig blows lol

Sorry if joking around and then explaining how yours was a useful post offended you. Actually if you cant take a joke, I'm not sorry and just saying it to calm the mood. If you have a problem with my humor, PM me, and I'll tell you where a drumstick from a lame band could find a home. LOL

ddp-Didnt have a problem when I first posted, nor was there a "personal attack", but it seems I struck a nerve. Oh well, I will take the high road here and fix things OUTSIDE of this thread.

Stay away from the "Made in Malaysia" type though, rumoured to have problems like the made in India Verbs.

if you followed the guides in my first post it should work fine

make sure you have the latest version of dvdfab decrypter to rip the movie then use fixvts to clean the file transcode with dvd shrink and burn.doing the movie only solves alot of problems too!! use all the links and guides in my first post and you should have it

yes you have to use dvdfab decrypter first! dvd shrink doesn't update anymore so it can't handle the newer movies without help. so follow this guide to the tee and you can back it up

dvdfab decrypter to rip dvd shrink to transcode(sometimes you will need to use FixVTS or VOB Blanker to clean the file before transcoding with dvd shrink) then nero, imgburn or dvd decrypter to burn.

What do you mean you can't download anydvd anymore? It's at www.slysoft.com

If you used the 21 day free trial, then you can't use it for free any more, but well worth the money to purchase

If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck!
