I just bought an LG GSA-E60L DVD Rewriter after my stock laptop DVD Drive stopped working altogether. I attempted to backup a DVD ISO to my Hard Drive with DVD Shrink 3.2 using my new burner and the speed is 25% (tops) as fast as the DVD drive that came with my laptop.

Any tips to bring the speed up ? I can't find anything in DVD Shrink and the Rewriter is brand new. How could it be that my cheap DVD Drive runs so much faster ?

    Does the laptop have USB2?
Some drives fall back to USB1 if USB2 is not available.
Others need 'High Speed' (if available) to be turned on in the PC BIOS.
