i hope i av started this thread in rite place.

i recently sent my BFG nvidia 7900 GT OC 256mb graphics card bk under the claim that it was faulty under warrenty. they replyed that it was and no more were in stock or they didnt sell that model ne more. so i got a refund of about £115.00.

i now need to get a new graphics card that is equal if not better in spec than my previous one. n e idea on wat one i should go for?? i dont mind addin a few extra quid to the price

ITS MILES OFF, what are you on sam?

and its £117 from here http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-008-PN&groupid=701&catid=56&subcat=356

and from CCL, its £106, or £112 for a branded version.

sam, it dont even come close to the GT.

its an amzing card FOR ITS PRICE.

hell the 3870 has now gone to £111 for a OcUK brand or £117 for the powercolor. so now i can recomend it again.

the 3850 512 have droped to less than £100 aswell.

the powercolor ones are like £15 less than scan.

but with AA the 9600GT beats these cards.

Ebuyer: £101.66 OEM, £102.58 premium brand
Scan: £98.70 OEM, £110.35 Premium brand

    HD3850 512MB
Aria: £113.86 OEM £126.55 Premium brand
OcUK: £108.26 OEM £111.61 Powercolor £126.89 premium brand
Ebuyer: £112.80 powercolor £128.56 Premium brand
Scan: £108.86 OEM £123.45 Powercolor £133.50 Premium brand

    HD3870
Aria: £141.82 OEM £145.23 Premium brand Single-slot, £146.76 Premium brand

    dual-slot
OcUK: £120.01 OEM £126.89 Powercolor £144.51 Premium brand
Ebuyer: £136.30 Powercolor £145.56 premium brand
Scan: £131.28 OEM £144.78 Premium brand

    9600GT
Aria: £137.36 OEM £149.11 Premium brand OC
OcUK: £132.76 Premium brand £150.39 Premium brand OC
Ebuyer: £130.55 POV £145.57 Premium brand
Scan: £124.41 Palit £127.04 Premium brand

    8800GT 512MB
Aria: £153.81 OEM £163.21 Premium brand OC
    OcUK: £156.26 Leadtek/PNY £168.01 Premium brand OC
Ebuyer: £159.56 Inno3D OC £160.56 Premium brand £185.56 Premium brand OC
Scan: £153.59 Leadtek £161.93 Premium brand OC

    8800GTS 512MB
Aria: £194.93 OEM £211.38 Premium brand £214.92 Premium brand OC
OcUK: £196.39 OEM £200.91 Premium brand OC
    Ebuyer: £195.56 Inno3D £196.15 Premium brand
    Scan: £198.36 Premium brand OC

    I don't consider the 8800GT 256MB or 8800GS worth bothering with.

Essentially, if you want an HD3850 or HD3870, OcUK are competitive but if you want a decent 256MB HD3850 go with Ebuyer. Overclockers also sell the cheapest 9600GT by miles if OEM is your thing. For proper brands though, they're no cheaper than anyone else.
For the 8800s, Aria and Scan lead the pack, especially with Scan's offer of less than £200 inc. delivery for the BFG 8800GTS OC.
