Just wondering. i own a laptop and a desktop computer and would really like to be able to watch tv on them both, laptop without the wire though. now i heard about something called Slingbox off a friend who read something in a news paper. anyways, he told me that it could stream tv, satalite, radio, dvd, video and anything else to my laptop through my home network. he also said that i could use the slingbox to get internet anywhere in the world through my laptop from 10 miles away to half way around the world. i was just wondering if this is true about the internet. as i would love to be able to take my laptop on holiday with me and most times i travel to egypt in a tent with my grandfather while he works. i have looked around the internet but can't seem to find any infomation on this.

no. you will still need broadband internet connection to view your slingbox. slingbox does not provide internet.
