Oughta be able to just install the old HDD from the old sys into the new PC and it should be showing up as another HDD. Was this old HDD your C drive {windows drive}? Cause if it was, it'll still have the boot info on it so your new PC mite try booting off it instead of your new current C drive. There are ways around that, just cant remember them all off top of my head.

The one method I DO recall is IF your new PC's motherboard supports it, you can force your PC to only boot off whichever drive you designate. you'd hafta look into your system's specs to find out IF it does and how to go about setting up for this method
