    Hello,

I just went out and bought a blu ray burner and I am completely lost as to what is going on. All the blu ray movies I am getting are coming in MVK format for one. I downloaded some new codecs and media player which allows me to watch it (with very crappy sound) but when I use the software that I got with the burner (cyberlink power2go and powerproducer) it wont even read it so that I am able to burn it....it only reads my avi files and what not.

I am new to all these so I would love!!! and greatly appreciate some detailed instructions on what to do. If anyone recommends any other blu ray burning software plz let me know also.

    Thanks a ton!!

Well i don't think you can burn movies in .mkv containers, since those are reencoded rips of Blu ray discs. If you want to burn your movies in real blu ray format you'll have to find complete rips, usually 30-35 gigs in size.
