Since posting my DVD Flick codec question 45 mins. ago I have discovered I need to download codecs for MPEG1 & 2 if I want to encode them to DVD. Afterdawn suggests several sites & codec packages such as FFDSHOW. But does it really have a worm as rumor suggests? I'm considering the 20061201 stable version rev.610.
Is there a better choice? If a more experienced person is reading this, what do you suggest? Thanks for the help.

Thanks for responding.
I tried a reinstall. No difference.
Something is squirrely w/ my computer. For months I was burning MPEG's like crazy using Nero 7 Ultra. Then overnight Nero refused to recognize my files. I downloaded a trial version of Nero 8. Same problem. So I tried DVD Flick. It recognizes only my wmv files, but I can't figure out how to burn a playable DVD once the files are encoded. There is no "Burn to DVD" button on the DVD Flick screen.
Any suggestions? Thanks.

I found Burn Button in Project Settings thanks to your screen shot.
But I still have a problem . . . DVD Flick is not finding my DVD burner. The bar that should display a choice of drives is empty and clicking the arrow does nothing. I get a message that says until DVD Flick finds a drive the Burn Button won't be enabled. Where do I go to select my drive? Thanks.

Thanks again. I executed the above check on my burner and all is well. It works fine for all other applications.
My DVD Flick Drive box is still empty. I inserted a blank disc during encoding, hoping this would solve the problem. No go.
With your help & the Guide provided on another thread, I think I have the procedure down. Now if DVD Flick could only find my drive!
Any further suggestions?

It's to leave a margin on the outside rim where, it seems, many brands of disk have quality problems with the dye coating.
The higher the quality, the closer to the edge you can safely burn.
