I'm pretty sure there are no other threads about these movies. I searched the Shrink forum. If there were some hidden ones, my apologies.
Anyway, both successfully ripped with AnyDVD6315.
Here's their encryption:

RCE protection not found.
Found & removed structural copy protection!
Found & removed invalid cell pieces!
Found & removed invalid VOBUs!
Changed firstplay: Jump directly to TitleMenu!
Autorun not found on Video DVD.
Found & removed 3 potential bad sector protections!
Emulating RPC-2 drive with region 1!

All of the regularly updated programs would probably work. DVDFab, for example, will probably work.
I'm a firm believer that the new movies should each have their own threads but since this was an easy crack, hopefully we won't see a myriad of separate threads for them.

@Mr_Pink
I too like the single movie thread since it's look like Gone Baby Gone will be giving users trouble maybe edit out We Own Night and start a new thread for that one? Keep this one for Gone Baby Gone?
@ZoSoIV
I'll be using CloneDVD & AnyDVD on this weeks so I'll let you know how it goes for me. I should buy them today but it's icing here now so may or may not venture out :)

Well Binkie almost bit it :) Right after I posted - said wtf - walked out the door and that was almost all she wrote :)
I'm a klutz to begin with and the ice sure doesn't help :)
Gone Baby Gone is burning now - used CloneDVD & AnyDVD.
Another one that has tougher stuff on it is Why Did I Get Married (my sentiments exactly :))
Like Gone Baby Gone but w/ 8 bad sectors.

You'll just have to come down south with me, in the last 10 years I've seen a quarter inch of snow and almost no ice.

I had trouble with Gone Baby Gone; DVD Fab would not rip it--is there a newer version out there in the last few months? Worked with Any DVD, but not without.

I assumed that was for HD only? I don't rip/burn HD discs, and I assumed that 98 or XP might not run that, and that I would need an HD DVD burner--I'll read it and see.

yes the newest DvD FAB works on all of this weeks new releases, and if you dont need all the menus, dvd fab is all you need. just select movie only and in about a half hour your done. no problems on this end, after reading a few posts i thought i might have a challenge on my hands, but i was wrong. dvd fab wins again for both of these along with "why did i get married". good luck mates.

"Gone Baby Gone" Gave me no trouble, I back that up using AnyDVD 6.3.1.2(I Think) and CloneDVD 2.9.1.2 I picked this title up in the beginning o the month. The only trouble I had with "We Own The Night" was with get it to start from men which I used DVDFab which has become a sort of go to favorite lately for my back ups. I found American Gangster a little challenging at 1st but managed to back it up. It has some structural flaws that are cautioned on the disc with regards to playing the "Unrated Extended Edition" which is on the same disc that features the original "Theatrical Version". Check out the AnyDVD status.:P
