I have a Helios H2000 dvd player that will play OGM files on a data disc, but the soft subtitles won't turn on or show up.
Is there a way to fix this, or am I going to have to convert the file type and make the subs embedded?

What format are your subtitles? I think that player only supports Vobsub subtitles(sub/idx). If yours are a different format, you have to convert them .

Try Subtitle Workshop:

When you burn them to disc, probably need to me in the sme folder as the video and have the exct name as the video, movie.ogm and movie.idx/sub
