My computer has gotten really slow so i have decided to reformat. But before that i need to know a few things. First, i have used my Xp home cd to reformat twice before, and i know i can install it many more times. But if i Reformat with Linux, then reformat linux and install Xp again, will i still be able to install it since it is still the same computer? or will i have to buy a new Xp cd

    Thanks

You can install it as many times as you want on the original hardware. MS has some algorithm that it uses, but even if it gives you an error, you can simply call MS and they'll walk you through reactivating it. The process is setup to stop pirates, but it does hinder legitimate users from time to time. A simple call will fix the problem, if it becomes a problem, which most likely won't in your situation.
