Is this what i am looking for D-Link DSM-320. I have a 320gb external HD that I have been using to back up video. So would having this item as a new addition to my home theater set up do the trick. And if so how do I get media from the external HD (connected to laptop). If it also helps I have the laptop networked wirelessly to my PC with a Trendnet N router and a N card on the laptop.

Someone please address this question. I'm wondering the same thing myself but in particular about streaming music from my laptop (including internet radio, and any audio on my laptop) to my home stereo system. I suppose I'd take the video, too, but am far less concerned with it and really just want the audio.

Seems like it should be easy... just send all audio from my pc wirelessly to some box attached to my receiver, but I swear whenever I try to find any info on this through google searches etc I can't find anything post-2005. And sites like cnet seem to have ripped these older media adapters to shreds when they came out. Are there any "network-enabled" receivers out there I should consider? Do these even exist?

I know I could just attach one of these fm transmitters, the type typically meant for playing your iPod through your car's fm radio stations, to my laptop's headphone audio jack, but I'm hoping for quality a tad better than that, unless someone can explain how and why the fm quality can be made just as good.
