how much ram can leopard handle

    I have a macbook (black) with leopard installed, whats the max ram I can install that will be recognized by leopard?

    Its not a matter of how much ram Leopard will recognize it is a matter of how much Ram your hardware will support. I have 32GB of ram in my mac pro.

    If you have a MacBook that was released in late 2007 then your hardware will support 4GB of ram if it was released in 2006-early 2007 then your hardware will handle 2GB of Ram! If you are unsure look at the top right hand corner of your box if you still have it. It will tell you what type of ram configuration your hardware will handle!

    Thats a bit overkill isnt it lol and i thought 8GB ram was heaps lmao

    Not when I have 3 Operating systems running at once and final cut pro going 24/7 plus dreamweaver running, and several other graphic design applications.
