I need a good video capturing software for Macs that can capture online .flv videos from like youtube or myspace tv.

    Anyone know of any?

Once the video you want to download is on the screen go to the Safari menu bar and select Window/Activity. Look for the biggest file on the list (a 1minute 30 seconds video is around 4MB) and double click on it. A file called "get_video" will start downloading. Once it is finished just rename it to "whatever.flv" and you have the video. This is for youtube.

In other websites that also use flash video when you call up the activity window you have to look for the biggest file again or for one that ends on ".flv". Once you have located it just double click on it and it will be downloaded. In this case it is likely that you do not need to rename the file because it will be downloaded already as ".flv".

To watch ".flv" files in QuickTime just install Perian ( http://perian.org/#detail ) or use VLC.
