What is that????????? Edit: found out it is a Seagate SATA HDD. Therefore logon to Seagate's website and find it
would be drivers not firmware also what is the problem? as could be bios setting if newly added to hardware configuration...
Moved to appropriate forum and lets put a little more thought into our questions in the future shall we.
Not true, HDD's can be updated via a FW update. Now, it's not often that this happens and usually is only done to fix a critical update such as drives not working under certain RAID configurations. You won't be able to find a FW update on Seagate's website, usually the updates that are given are from the motherboard manufacturer or, if you have the drive/s attached to a controller, then the manufacturer of the controller will have to provide you with the update. Is there a problem with the drive? What's your HDD's FW rev as of now? What OS are you using? The latest I could find was 3.01. Also, there is a tool that Seagate offers, that you can use to test your drive status. http://www.seagate.com/www/en-us/support/downloads/seatools/
