my dvd drive will not see blank disks dvd or cd and will not read bunt dvds. this problem is also affecting my cd burner it will read commercial disk but will not burn cds.

have you tryed uninstalling the drive and IDE controllers in device manager rebooting and letting windows reinstall them?

or a firmware update may be in order

or psu power supply failing in voltages, as you say effecting 2 drives...

You could try re-installing the Atapi drivers from the adaptec site.

i have tried all of this and i still can't get my drives to work.
I have tried Nero, Alcohol 120%, and ImgBurn
