blu-ray players and HDCP

    hello everyone

    I am wanting to know if it is possible to watch blu ray movies at say 1080i or any HD resolution without having a HDCP tv as my TV is not HDCP compatible and it was the only one i could afford at the time. so does any one know if this is possible thanks

    Yes, you can watch bluray movies at 1080i thru component. Your HDTV has component inputs right?

    yes it does, thanks for the reply. Feared the worst when i got an upconvert DVD player and had trhe HDCP thrown at me. thanks
