I am desperately hoping that someone here might be able to help this hopelessly uncomputer minded MAC user. I have managed to download a wii game which shows up as an rar. Then i unrarx-ed it and it turned into several files .000 to .004 and a .dvd file instead of .iso’s like everybody on forums everywhere claims they should.
I have done computer searches to look for any .iso extentions, but have nothing since 2005! What to do? I have google searched and tried all day and am tearing my hair out! So far I have 3 coasters… Please be kind, use small words… :)

what game did you download that went from rar to 001 and .dvd. Because any .dvd file in my experience indicates a dual layer image. I have a mac as well and I use rar expander to unrar my downloads and disc utility to burn the isos.

The game is Rayman's Raving Rabbids. What does that mean to me, a dual layer image? Any idea what i should do?
When I look at the file kinds, the dvd file is a "VDU DV", the 000 is an "UnrarX app document" and the 001 - 004 are just "documents". I've also tried putting these files back through Unrarx, but the message I get is "Rayman.000 is not RAR archive No files to extract"
sigh!
I really hope someone has a solution!

ok, thats not a dual layer, dual layer would be a iso that is over 4.7gig and up to 8 gigs, there is only one game like that so far for wii which is super smash bros brawl, all xbox 360 games are dual layer, either way you dont have to worry about that with rayman. my guess is those files you have are rar files that for some reason arent named properly, try copying them over to a new folder and renaming them (adding .rar to the end of each one). they try unraring them. hope that works.

ok what you need is a program they call HJ SPILT PRO.
ok what those .000 .001 .002 ect are is a file that is compressed
then split into little pieces, i had never seen this either until
i started messing with RRapidshare....

ok what the person did that you got that file from has done is he
compressed the file(probably with WinRaR) then he broke the file
into how many ever pieces he wanted. so it could be downloaded
quicker...

ok this program is called HJ SPLIT PRO. what you will do is put those
files in a folder(should on desktop)that's easy for you to find as

then you need to download this program, it's free and very small
then you open the program and enter the first file in the folder and
wait couple mintues the program will automatically merge all files in
that folder you picked, you will then have your game together and
ready to use, then delete all the .001 .002 folders your done...

can you post the filesize of each file? the .00x and the .dvd file? That will give us clues as to what to do?

Also, did you get this game from a reliable source? Or some torrent from a god forsaken tracker that you found on page 19 of google?
