Every .avi file I try to open just plays audio and not sound. The .avi files work on a different computer only using k lite codec pack, but they don't work on this computer...

I downloaded GSpot and it direct me to Indeo 5.x codecs. I downloaded Indeo 5.11 those and I still get no video...

I ended up downloading VLC and .avi's work, but unfornately I need the videos to play in WMP because I am using the videos in a powerpoint.

    Any suggestions?

    Try FFDShow.

I have already tried FFDShow by itself. It is also included in K Lite Codec Pack. Neither fixed my issue.

Uninstall all current codec packs in your machine. Download/install K-Lite Mega Codec Pack v3.7.5. During the installation a codec tweak tool included in the pack will detect/fix broken codecs.
