remote access

    would anyone be able to help me. i am wanting to remotely connect to my pc at home from my gf computer, but i am not sure which way to go about it. there are plaenty programes out there that will let me gain access to home pc but how safe are they? to me they seam to look a little unsafe. Is this the only way or are there other lternatives?

    I've heard that the program crossloop is very good, but if you want to play it safe just use windows remote desktop

    thanks for your help. i am just being safe, checking my options; and there are a lot out there

    The safest way would be to setup a good firewall on your home PC and just open the ports you want.

    This works nicely. You can use passwords and set it up so computer being accesed needs to accept connection or program can just auto accept connection with password
