I am going to build my first pc and been looking at different routes to take. The pc will be used for some gaming , media, etc.. all around kind of pc. Here is what I came up with let me know what you think. Any suggestions of what should/could I change? Thanks for any input.

Coolermaster stacker 830with 1000w power- I really like this case. The power is more then I need but for the price for case/power from newegg I like it.

I am wanting to buy a new pc. Over the years I spend about 1500 for each pc. So I tried to keep the parts to about that price. For all this from newegg + a few misc things mem reader etc. Im about 1600.00 I will be getting alot more out of this pc then one I would buy for the same price. Also I have a LG l222wt that it will be connected to. Again thanks for any suggestions.

Ok, a few ideas.
The stacker is a great case, but if you don't use a 1KW unit (you won't) then you may as well get the case and a PSU separate, something like a 620W Corsair.
On the motherboard, it's expensive, make sure you definitely will go with SLI.
On the graphics card, get a standard one and overclock it yourself, save yourself some money. Also, get a 9600GT not an 8800 and save big bucks there, especially if you're going with SLi. 9600s sli much better than 8800s.
On the CPU, try and wait until the Q9450s are in stock if you can, theyre much better.
RAM is fine, though we recommend corsair here.
HDD is not a wise choice, they break very often and you can rarely see the window instead, get a 74GB Raptor and a normal drive for extra storage.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the coolermaster stacker its 344 with rebates included for the case+ 1000w power. If I just buy the case and a 620w corsair it was 405( newegg had the power unit for 144 after rebates) So it would cheaper to go bigger. Thanks for the other information I will look into it all I didnt buy anything yet.

That's fair enough, very cheap for a stacker and a 1KW PSU, assuming it's a decent brand one (Coolermaster presumably). Just obviously be advised that coolermaster units can be quite loud when stressed.

Q9450 is much much more expensive than Q9300

G.Skill is ok.

£180 vs £220 in the UK, that's the typical price difference between two CPUs...

here it's like R2000 difference, that a whole lot! I was thinking of getting GA-X38-DQ6 from Taiwan, and 4GB of G.Skill DDR2 1066 ram. i hope :P
