Vista updates, 3 days same

Last couple of day, my vista has informed me that there are 8 updates that need to be installed. After i turn the pc off it installs them, turn back on, it configures the updates. The next day, 8 updates again. Automatic updates are on. What's the problem here?

 

i have the same problem, ive installed the same update, about 30 times, it just keeps saying "important update to install" any help would be appreciated. thanks

 

I just decided to turn off the automatic updates and will check for updates every other week.

 

thats why i stick with xp,just thought i`d get my tuppence worth,tried vista,lasted all of half an hour

 

Joshyboy, if you have another firewall installed instead of using windows firewall, disable the otehr firewall, turn on windows' firewall and retry the updates. That's that i had to do as i was using Comodo firewall and it was somehow blocking the updates.
