Whats the best video decoder out there? im looking for the closest to perfect that i can get.. seems every decoder i try leaves me with choppiness, or tear..
Im running a hauppauge 1600, with nvidia 8600gt, intel q6600 2.4 quad core, and 4gb ram.. so, i can handle any decoder, whether its hard on the cpu of not.. I want to try to eliminate choppiness in live tv, while maintaining a high quality picture. Also, i forgot to mention, im using GB-PVR.
is ffdshow the best out there? ive ran it, along with intervideo non css, nvidia decoder, nero decoder, and hcw decoder, and so far ffdshow has worked the smoothes, but still with tear and choppyness with quick movement on screen.
It seems most of the posts ive been reading are from several years ago, and i was looking for a new conversation, with perhaps new decoders that i have yet to see in these older forums.
